Job Description

Precision Resources, a division of The Trimarc Group Inc., has a contract to permanent opening for an experienced Application Support Analyst II for our client head-quartered in Chicago, IL.  This is a REMOTE/WFH position with the possibility to come onsite for periodic company meetings.  The qualified individual will provide technical support to users of the software, troubleshooting issues, monitoring system performance, and assisting with configurations and upgrades. They will be the liaison between end-users and development teams to ensure the applications and interface systems run smoothly and meet business needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Handle support inquiries, provide technical assistance, and train users on how to use software effectively
  • Serve in a critical role ensuring customer satisfaction by triaging, prioritizing and troubleshooting, including periodically reviewing application code, to identify an appropriate resolution of the issues
  • Work closely with developers regarding feedback and analysis of software applications to guide the development process such as analysis of errors for finding root causes, bugs or glitches and software performance for recommendations for changes
  • Diagnose and fix malfunctions in software applications, using diagnostic tools and analyzing logs
  • Work with application development and deployment for software implementation, configurations, releases, and deployments of patches and updates
  • Document detailed records relating to an application's performance and usability to aid in decisions for application support analysts, developers and executive staff

Requirements

  • 5 years of IT experience with a focus supporting customed developed enterprise level applications
  • Experience working with programming languages like SQL, Java, .NET, Python
  • SQL Server database experience and ability developing complex SQL queries
  • Understanding of client/server communication, APIs, and web services
  • Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), and remote desktop/helpdesk software
  • Must have US Citizenship or valid Green Card. Sponsorship will not be provided.
