Precision Resources, a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is currently searching for an experienced VB.NET / Windows Forms (WinForms) Developer to join a client on a permanent basis. 

This position can be fully remote in the contiguous United States. However, to meet the needs of our client’s business, this position will require availability starting at 8am Eastern Time.

This client is not offering sponsorship, now or in the future. We are not able to consider consultants offered by 3^rd parties nor will we be entering into any Corp-to-Corp agreements.

Advanced knowledge of VB.NET and experience with developing API’s is required.

Position Summary:

The Senior Software Developer is a key position responsible for the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of our client's core systems, for all lines of business. This role also involves developing, maintaining, and managing interfaces that connect systems with critical platforms.

This role will also work closely with corporate IT teams as well as vendors and consultants on IT projects. It also includes learning and documenting proprietary business logic and system architecture to ensure continuity of knowledge as our client transitions to future solutions and prepares for succession in leadership roles.

Responsibilities:

Application Development for Core Systems & Systems Interfaces:

• .NET software developer responsible for design, development, and maintenance.
• Work with business users to gather and understand system enhancement requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Drive operational excellence by developing innovative solutions that improve process efficiency and enable automation.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of technical architecture, design, development and release processes.
• Meet internal and external audit and compliance requirements throughout the application development process.
• Design, develop, and maintain interfaces that connect core systems to external platforms.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) processes into our client’s data warehouse.
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data flow and interface performance.
• Maintain and support core system’s database configurations.
• Maintain and support underwriting rating factors and rate books in the system.
• Collaborate with corporate IT teams to maintain SQL databases, application servers, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
• Design and manage data extracts between systems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit reviews, validating interface accuracy, data integrity, and application security.
• Manage and maintain all system batch processes and related solutions and configuration.

Requirements:

• A minimum of ten years of previous experience as a Software Programmer.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages including VB.NET, HTML5, C#, SQL and JSON.
• Advance knowledge and experience with developing APIs to connect systems.
• Knowledge of system frameworks.
