Job Description

This position is responsible for the initial setup, installation and troubleshooting maintenance associated with Mobile Technology (including iPads and iPhones). The role provides direct technical support to field and office personnel, which may include traveling between operations centers and job sites to reinstall and troubleshoot software on mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have technical skills or the ability to gain them quickly, strong interpersonal skills to work with a variety of operations personnel and a can-do attitude willing to learn new technology as the company rolls out new software and systems.

Major Accountabilities

• Submit access and installation requests for initial iPad set up and updates.
• Configure iPads and install required applications for field personnel.
• Train field personnel on the use and functionality of iOS-based applications used in Gas Operations.
• Communicate effectively with Operations Support team members and end users, providing the appropriate level of technical and business detail to ensure full understanding of issues and resolutions.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients, peers, and management.
• Assist Technical Support Services and Desktop Operations with system or operational issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Recommended Education & Experience

• Strong background in computer applications, corporate information systems, and standard business software/hardware.
• Prior experience supporting end users in a technical or operational environment is preferred.

• Customer-service mindset with the ability to explain technical processes in clear, understandable terms.
• Some travel between operations centers and active gas construction work sites may be required to support mobile technology needs.
