Job Description
Responsible for acquiring and managing right-of-way (ROW) agreements for constructing and maintaining electric distribution and communication facilities. This role involves negotiating with property owners, ensuring legal compliance, managing permits, and supporting internal and external stakeholders. Also plays a key role in process improvements and departmental strategy execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire legal ROW and negotiate with property owners for construction projects.
- Conduct title searches, verify property ownership, and ensure compliance with laws and ordinances.
- Manage contractors and workloads to meet construction schedules.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues related to ROW and land use.
- Prepare and maintain accurate ROW documentation and agreements.
- Liaise with government agencies for permits and coordinate with internal teams.
- Support storm restoration and emergency response efforts as needed.
- Review and approve ROW agreements secured by other technicians.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, real estate, or STEM with 3+ years of relevant field experience, or an Associate’s with 5+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of real estate law, ability to read engineering drawings and legal documents.
- Valid driver’s license and PA Notary Public required.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and public relations abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, GIS, and related tools.
- Experience in change management and process improvement.
- SRWA designation preferred.
