Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Scheduler to support the Transmission Project Development team. This position works under general oversight to perform baselining, planning, scheduling, monitoring, analyzing, tracking, and reporting activities related to large capital projects and portfolios of medium complexities and risks utilizing Primavera.  You will work closely with project teams to provide scheduling expertise and reporting to ensure the successful execution of projects and portfolio management.

  • Tracks and analyzes project and portfolio schedules in accordance with standard procedures
  • Communicate with other departments to gather and verify information required for project schedules.
  • Maintains project baseline schedules in support of status and metrics reporting.
  • Performs project status analysis and makes recommendations to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Analyze critical paths to determine and recommend options to keep projects on schedule.
  • Assisting Project Managers in conducting meetings with stakeholders to ensure schedules are current and accurate.
  • Communicates project status updates and contingency plans to applicable managers and stakeholders.
  • Support leadership and team members with special reports, forecasting, and informational inquiries.
  • Performs document management activities related to schedules and baselines. 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years scheduling experience.
  • Proficiency in project scheduling with a solid understanding of how schedules are calculated.
  • Strong skills in project planning, estimating, and communication.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Preferred:

  • Progressive experience in project scheduling, project controls, or related fields.
  • Experience in engineering and construction project controls.
  • Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software.
  • PMI Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Required:

  • Strong communication skills to interface effectively with engineering, architectural, and construction firms, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of budget, cash flow, and schedule development processes.
  • Familiarity with project forecasting, resource planning, and identifying constraints.
  • Ability to forecast resource requirements and identify long-lead items. 

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Primavera for scheduling and project planning.
  • Experience with budget and cash flow management.
