Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, seeks an associate with four to six years of experience to join its dynamic and growing Affordable Housing Development team in the Real Estate + Development practice group based in our Boston office.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of four years of experience representing developers in complex commercial real estate transactions, including in acquisitions, and public and private financing transactions. Experience with affordable housing tax credit transactions is a plus. Candidates should have strong fundamentals, including experience with title and survey review, drafting acquisition documents, and review of a variety of loan documents. Candidates should work well as part of a team and enjoy a fast-paced work environment. Prior law firm experience is required for this position.
The Affordable Housing Development team is a subset of RED lawyers that work with local and national developers on the creation and development of affordable housing. The Real Estate + Development practice group regularly represents developers and lenders in complex commercial real estate transactions.
Admission to the Massachusetts bar is required for this position. Top academic and transactional credentials, excellent writing, research, negotiation, and communication skills are also required.
