• New York Bar Membership preferred

Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Family Law Attorney with over five years of experience in family law. The ideal candidate will have a background in:

• Litigation involving families
• Estate litigation
• Closely held business disputes
• Some commercial litigation

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage cases: Work autonomously to handle various aspects of family law cases.
• Draft comprehensive documents: Prepare case information statements, motion documents (briefs and certifications).
• Handle discovery: Oversee the discovery process and manage the collection and exchange of pertinent information.
• Depositions: Take and defend depositions effectively.
• Client communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with clients.
• Court appearances: Represent clients in court, with trial experience (including domestic violence) being preferable.

Requirements

• Bar Membership: Active member in good standing of the New Jersey State Bar; New York Bar Membership preferred.
• Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to interact effectively with clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Trial Experience: Experience in handling trials, including cases of domestic violence, is highly desirable.
