Job Description

ProspectBlue has partnered with a law firm in Richmond, VA and is seeking a Docketing Attorney. The ideal candidate has an active law license in the State of Virginia. Excellent compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:
• Draft all Circuit Court suit filings, discovery, and other written materials for the firm
• For all active cases at the firm, evaluate and strategize all aspects of suit filing including venue, service of process, appropriate causes of action, timing, statutes of limitation, etc.
• Manage all suit filing deadlines at the firm, term days and returns
• Manage Circuit Court docket for the firm• Manage General District Court docket for the firm
• Manage all workflows and processes for Federal, Circuit and General District Court suit filings at the firm for 36 attorneys
• Manage a team of 4 Litigation Legal Assistants handling the entire firm's General District Court Docket
• Manage a team of 2 paralegals handling the entire firm's Docketing/Suit Filing Department
• Report directly to Firm President on all key performance indicators monthly and on as-needed basis, and make presentations to the attorneys on all matters related to litigation and/or suit filing matters
