Position Overview

M Force Partners is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Engineer – Battery Systems to support the development, implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes for advanced battery products. This Manufacturing Process Engineer – Battery Systems will collaborate with Battery Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Facilities, and Maintenance to ensure manufacturing processes are safe, efficient, cost-effective, and capable of producing high-quality products.

The ideal Manufacturing Process Engineer – Battery Systems will have experience supporting manufacturing operations, solving production challenges, and driving process improvements in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Battery Design Engineering and Operations with manufacturing and process engineering activities
  • Evaluate new and existing manufacturing processes to improve manufacturability, efficiency, and product quality
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing support tools
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing productivity, reducing costs, improving quality, and maximizing production output
  • Train and support production personnel on manufacturing processes and standardized work procedures
  • Collaborate with Facilities and Maintenance to evaluate and implement equipment upgrades and process improvements
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment, and production issues while documenting corrective actions
  • Conduct Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to identify and eliminate recurring manufacturing issues
  • Partner with Battery Design and Mechanical Engineering teams to transition new products from development into production
  • Evaluate product designs and provide recommendations to improve manufacturability
  • Monitor manufacturing KPIs and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Apply engineering analysis, computational modeling, prototyping, and testing to improve manufacturing performance
  • Support the implementation of process controls, automation, and manufacturing equipment improvements
  • Participate in cross-functional engineering and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional engineering responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a related industrial environment
  • Experience supporting manufacturing processes, production operations, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Experience troubleshooting manufacturing processes and production equipment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies
  • Experience applying Six Sigma tools and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Six Sigma Certification
  • Experience with PLC programming or industrial automation systems
  • Experience with CAD modeling software
  • Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process validation
  • Experience working in battery manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or other advanced manufacturing environment
