Job Description

Our client, a North American based services company is seeking a detail-driven and analytical Senior Accountant to contribute to their core finance and accounting functions. In this role, you will handle specialized focus areas such as fixed asset accounting, lease accounting, financial report analysis, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation to support overall financial accuracy and business growth. Those from an audit background will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key components of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in journal entries, accruals, pre-close reviews, and account reconciliations.
• Review and analyze monthly financial reports, delivering actionable insights on trends, variances, and financial performance.
• Perform data analysis and develop or present ad-hoc reports to support various internal business processes and leadership decisions.
• Manage ongoing accounting responsibilities including fixed assets, lease accounting, and comprehensive account reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (equivalent professional experience will also be considered).
• CPA designation or CPA eligibility is strongly preferred.
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in public and/or corporate accounting.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, month-end close cycles, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with familiarity using ERP systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
