C2's client, a growing senior living organization, seeks a Fractional Marketing Director to serve as its embedded marketing lead, functioning as the strategic brain and day-to-day driver behind occupancy, sales, and community growth.
This is not an advisory role or an agency engagement. The client needs a senior marketing leader who shows up as their de facto head of marketing. Someone who builds a genuine understanding of their sales cycle, competitive landscape, and community-level goals, then translates that understanding into campaigns, priorities, and outcomes. The work is strategic and executional in equal measure.
What makes this model distinctive is the resource structure. Rather than inheriting a fixed internal team, the right person for this role will draw from C2's pre-vetted bench of creative, digital, and marketing specialists, deploying the right talent at the right time. Senior-level strategic leadership. No departmental overhead. The emphasis throughout is on fit, quality, and what each initiative actually demands.
The ideal candidate that succeeds in this role is a seasoned marketer who wants meaningful, high-influence work without the politics of a full-time corporate seat. You have strong instincts, a bias for execution, and the communication skills to be credible in the room with senior stakeholders.
Start Date: TBD
Duration: Contract, ongoing through C2
Location: Remote-friendly; availability for on-site meetings required as needed
Compensation: $80-$85/hr.
Benefits: C2 talent working 30+ hours/week for 30 consecutive business days are eligible for medical, dental, and optional vision insurance, life insurance and PTO accrual; 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match available for enrollment after 90 days.
Technology: Talent must provide their own hardware and software.
Job Description
The Fractional Marketing Director functions as client's primary marketing partner, building strategy, directing execution, and maintaining alignment between marketing activity and business performance. This is not a role for someone who waits to be pointed in a direction. You will set the direction, identify the resources needed to move, and own the outcomes.
Day to day, this means translating business objectives into clear marketing priorities and timelines, identifying and activating the right specialist resources, and serving as the connective tissue between client stakeholders and the creative and digital talent doing the work. Performance visibility matters here: tracking what is working, reporting on it clearly, and adjusting course based on results is part of the job, not a quarterly exercise.
Senior living is a relationship-driven, community-centered business. Brand positioning and messaging that differentiate the client in a competitive market are within scope. So is the familiarity to operate credibly in conversations about senior services, even if your background comes from adjacent industries.
