Job Description:
We’re looking for a Paralegal who’s passionate about helping others and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in both the legal and client-service sides of the firm—supporting attorneys with case preparation while ensuring every client feels heard, informed, and cared for throughout their case.
What You’ll Do
Legal Support
• Manage a high volume of pre-litigation cases, including reviewing files, drafting documents, and maintaining consistent client communication.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and organize findings to assist in case strategy.
• Prepare materials for hearings, trials, and client meetings.
• Track deadlines, manage calendars, and handle court filings.
• Gather evidence and assist with case investigations and settlements.
Client Communication
• Serve as a main point of contact for clients, providing compassionate, timely updates.
• Conduct intakes and follow-ups to build trust and set clear expectations.
• Educate clients on legal processes and documentation in an approachable way.
• Coordinate with medical providers, insurance companies, and other third parties.
Firm Operations & Innovation
• Identify ways to improve systems, workflows, and client communication.
• Collaborate with the team to streamline document management and case tracking.
• Participate in firm growth initiatives and strategy discussions.
• Keep detailed case notes and updates in the firm’s management system.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture built on accountability and growth.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of paralegal experience (personal injury or civil litigation preferred).
• Strong understanding of Missouri and federal court procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, empathetic approach with clients.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable using legal software (experience with Clio, Filevine, etc. a plus).
• A proactive team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
