We are seeking a Case Manager to join our clients growing and fast-paced office in Overland Park. In this role, you will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution. This includes providing legal and administrative support to attorneys, maintaining and organizing case files, managing deadlines and billing, and ensuring timely progress on all assigned matters. The position involves frequent client interaction and detailed review and analysis of medical records.


Job Description:

This role offers hands-on, real-world legal experience in both state and federal litigation. You’ll work closely with experienced attorneys and gain insight into complex legal processes. If you're passionate about litigation and enjoy a fast-moving work environment, this position is a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Case Management: Support all phases of the litigation process, from initial case filing through trial and appeal.

Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research into laws, regulations, and legal publications.

Documentation & Filing: Organize, prepare, and file legal documents such as exhibits, briefs, and appeals; maintain accurate case records.

Trial Preparation: Assist with preparing legal arguments, motions, contracts, and agreements. Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimonies.

Client & Witness Coordination: Schedule interviews, meetings, and depositions by communicating with clients, witnesses, attorneys, and third parties.

Administrative Tasks: Draft affidavits, monitor deadlines and calendars, review trial transcripts, and provide general legal support.


Qualifications:

0–5+ years of legal experience, particularly in litigation, medical injury, product liability, or wrongful death

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Strong editing and proofreading skills for legal documents

Familiarity with court procedures and filings

Highly organized and detail-oriented

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines

Strong communication skills and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members
