About the Role

True Talent Group is partnering with a nationally recognized healthcare organization to find a talented Content Writer for a 6-month contract opportunity with a strong likelihood of extension and potential future full-time conversion.

This role sits within a collaborative content team supporting healthcare and medical education initiatives. You'll create engaging, research-driven long-form content that helps consumers navigate health topics with confidence. This is an excellent opportunity for a writer who enjoys digging deep into research, validating sources, and producing high-quality content that balances SEO strategy with editorial excellence.

What You'll Do

• Research, write, and edit long-form healthcare content ranging from 2,000–4,000 words per article
• Develop consumer-focused content covering healthcare, medical information, and urgent care topics
• Evaluate and validate sources to ensure accuracy, credibility, and relevance
• Navigate evolving search landscapes and distinguish trusted information from AI-generated content noise
• Collaborate closely with content strategists, SEO partners, editors, and medical reviewers
• Incorporate feedback through multiple rounds of revisions while maintaining content quality and voice consistency
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and pivot between assignments as review timelines shift
• Contribute to a content calendar that scales from approximately one article per week during onboarding to multiple articles per week during peak periods
• Ensure content aligns with brand standards, audience needs, and search best practices

What You Bring

• 3+ years of professional content writing experience, preferably within healthcare, medical, wellness, education, or other highly regulated industries
• Demonstrated experience creating long-form content (2,000+ words) with a strong portfolio of published work
• Exceptional research skills and the ability to evaluate source credibility
• Strong understanding of content development, editorial processes, and SEO fundamentals
• Experience working through detailed editing and review cycles
• Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging, consumer-friendly content
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Collaborative mindset and openness to feedback from editors, subject matter experts, and stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or a related field preferred
