      About the Job:
      NECIC is seeking an outgoing, dependable, and community minded individual for a Community Organizer position.

      The Community Organizer will work directly with residents, neighborhood groups, businesses, schools, community partners, and local organizations to build relationships, connect residents with resources, and support programs and events throughout the community.

      Knowledge of Mansfield's North End community and established relationships within the community are a plus!

      Their key duties and responsibilities include:

      • Build and maintain positive relationships with residents and community partners.
      • Engage residents through outreach, community meetings, events, and neighborhood activities.
      • Assist with planning and coordinating community programs, workshops, meetings, and special events.

      • Connect residents and families with available community resources.
      • Recruit and engage program participants, volunteers, and community partners.
      • Maintain accurate program records, attendance, participant information, and activity reports.
      • Assist with collecting surveys, program data, success stories, and information needed for grant reporting.

      • Represent NECIC professionally at community meetings, events, and activities.
      • Work collaboratively with other NECIC departments and programs.
      • All other duties as assigned.

      Requirements:
      • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
      • Must have strong communication and people skills.
      • Must be dependable, organized, and comfortable working directly with the public.
      • Must be comfortable working with people from different backgrounds.
      • Knowledge of Mansfield's North End and its residents, businesses, organizations, and community resources is a plus.
      • Must be willing and available to work evenings and weekends. No exceptions.

      This is not strictly a Monday through Friday, 9 to 5 position. Community organizing means being available when the community is available, including community meetings, programs, outreach activities, and special events.
