The European Business Development Specialist will be a part of the LUS Enterprise Business Intelligence & Bid Management (BIBM) Team that plays a critical role in the early stages of the sales process by analyzing the market, identifying key upcoming opportunities, and spearheading the strategic effort with internal and external stakeholders to prepare for and deliver winning bids and drive existing customer growth. The European Business Development Specialist serves as Lyft Urban Solutions' eyes and ears in the bikeshare marketplace responsible for building strategic relationships, tracking competitive trends, and translating market intelligence into actionable growth opportunities.

Responsibilities:
Attend key bikeshare and micromobility industry conferences, forums, and networking events to build strategic relationships and maintain a strong external presence on behalf of Lyft Urban Solutions.
Lead compelling pitches of Lyft Urban Solutions’ end-to-end bikeshare offering to prospective clients and city stakeholders.
Track competitive activity and emerging trends across the bikeshare marketplace.
Produce actionable market insights and recommendations to scale the business.
Develop go-to-market strategies to support entry into new markets, informed by on-the-ground intelligence and stakeholder relationships.
Identify and qualify new partnership opportunities across the bikeshare ecosystem
Collaborate closely with Product and External Affairs cross-functional stakeholders to inform product development upstream with market intelligence and shape the competitive landscape with city stakeholders.
Provide support leading pre-tender and bid management workstreams for city procurements.
Maintain accurate records of partnership opportunities and market intelligence in CRM, ensuring pipeline visibility across the team.
Requirements
3+ years of business development, partnerships, strategy, and/or similar roles with at least 1 year in a client-facing capacity
Strong understanding of geopolitical environments and its influence on policies
Ability to think outside the box and to take initiative and work independently
International experience in Europe and North America either professionally or academically strongly preferred
Knowledge of contract terms and conditions in public tenders
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Strong customer focus and a proactive, collaborative mindset
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Proficient in the Google Suite (Docs, Slides & Sheets)
Full professional proficiency in English required; multilingual fluency in additional European languages (French, Spanish) strongly preferred
Strong interest in the global bikeshare competitive landscape preferred
This role requires international travel (2x/month), including attendance at key industry conferences, client visits across European markets and occasional travel (1-2x/year) to North America for internal meetings.
