Position Summary

The Nurse Manager provides assigned unit(s) with clinical patient care leadership, thus ultimate quality care in the management of patients from admission through discharge. This position requires an experienced, proficient registered nurse, who has demonstrated proficiency in upholding and maintaining department philosophy, policies, and standards of patient care. The nurse manager maintains accountability for department staff activities with continual communication with staff and all members of the healthcare team, ensuring optimal quality care.

Nurse Manager Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the planning, staffing, organizing and coordinating the operations of a patient care area.
• Develops and implements the policies, procedures and standards of the unit. 
• Assures the highest quality and standards of care for the patients on the unit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Indiana.
• MUST have bachelor’s degree and we would prefer 3-5 years prior supervisory/management experience
• Prior supervisory/management experience highly desirable.
• Maintains current CPR Certification and safety and infection control validations.
