Matchwell is hiring Med Surg/ED Float RN's in McLeansboro, IL (nights). ! See below for full details and benefits.

Pay Range: $50-$55/hr

Schedule: PRN, Direct Hire, Contract 

Position Summary:

The Med/Surg ER Float RN will provide care in both medical-surgical units and the emergency unit. Responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, implementing care plans, and educating patients and their families, adapting to the specific needs of each unit. This role requires a broad knowledge base and the ability to quickly adapt to different patient populations and work environments. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and psychosocial needs in both med-surg and ER settings
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions
• Developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patient assessments, collaborating with the healthcare team. 
• Providing immediate care to patients in the emergency room, including triage, stabilization, and treatment
• Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. 
• Current RN license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Maintain all required certifications as outlined in the scope of services for the assigned department.
• EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.

Education & Experience:

• At least 2+ years of combined Med Surg and Emergency experience; No new grads
• Covid Vaccine Status required: accepts vaccine, declination, or exemption.
• Flu Vaccine Required: Declinations not accepted
• TB Skin Test MUST be a traditional 2-step
• Successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
• Current RN license with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
• Maintain all required certifications as outlined in the scope of services for the assigned department.
• EPIC EMR experience is preferred.
• ADN required, BSN preferred.
