Salary Range: $30.40-$47.55/hr

Schedule: Full Time, Night Shift, Direct Hire

Position Summary:

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) provides specialized care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting, requiring advanced skills and knowledge to manage complex medical situations and life support systems. Patients on this unit could include those recovering from open-heart surgery 1-2 days post, medication drips, intubated patients, titratable drips such as pressers, CRRT

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and temperature.
• Manage patients on ventilators, adjusting settings and monitoring their response to ventilation.
• Administering a variety of medications, including intravenous fluids, pain relievers, and other treatments, as ordered by physicians. 
• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' conditions, including physical exams and review of medical records
• Responding quickly and effectively to medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest or respiratory distress. 
• Managing patients' pain and sedation levels, ensuring comfort and appropriate comfort measures. 
•  Providing emotional support to patients and their families, particularly during difficult times. 

Special Qualifications (Licensure, Registration, etc.)

• Associate of Nursing (ASN) or equivalent required; Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Indiana Registered Nurse License or Multi-State Registered Nurse License through the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) required

 Within 30 days of hire you must have (CRH provides training & time to acquire certification after employment):

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Some positions may require ACLS.
