Schedule: FT Nights, Direct Hire

Job Responsibilities

• Completes physical assessment and patient interview according to departmental policy.
• Initiates and updates nursing plan of care as changes occur. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team regarding plan of care.
• Charts shift assessments and interventions.
• Identifies and communicates unusual or abnormal assessments or patient care problems to the resource nurse and/or supervisor. Notifies physician of abnormal diagnostic reports and/or changes of conditions.
• Completes documentation on all records.
• Offers constructive suggestions for changes to improve patient care.
• Communicates pertinent patient information at change of shift.
• Demonstrates knowledge regarding equipment, such as oxygen delivery systems, drains and devices.
• Assists in the care of patients assigned to co-workers.
• Is able to organize priority of patient need and perform tasks within allotted time.

Special Requirements

May need to come in off shifts and/or work extra hours.

Education/Experience

• Currently licensed RN in the state of Illinois by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
• Current CPR, PALS and CPI certification is required.
• Current ACLS certification preferred.
