About Proppel

Proppel is a recruitment agency connecting top talent across the US, Canada, and Latin America with opportunities at some of the most exciting companies in the world.

Whether you are looking for your next role or the right move to advance your career, we will make it happen.

What we're looking for

A fast-growing US-based sports and recreation brand is looking for a senior E-commerce Specialist to fully own its direct-to-consumer website, revenue, and digital growth strategy. This is a full-ownership role for someone who thrives on autonomy, sets their own roadmap, and is accountable for hitting the monthly number, not just executing tasks handed to them.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the overall e-commerce strategy for the company's DTC website, driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Manage the DTC budget and hit margin targets set by Finance, including ownership of the brand's European and other international (non-Amazon) markets.
  • Partner with the paid media agency on strategy, creative briefs, budget, and performance, aligning campaigns with promotions and launches.
  • Drive organic visibility across traditional search (Google) and AI-driven platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity) as well as social search (TikTok, YouTube).
  • Own the full post-click experience (page speed, UX, checkout), site compliance, promotions, and the promotional calendar.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Content, Demand Planning, and Operations to keep inventory, campaigns, and site changes aligned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of e-commerce experience with a track record of owning revenue and P&L-adjacent accountability for a DTC channel.
  • Hands-on expertise with Shopify, Google Merchant Center, Google Search Console, and GA4.
  • Experience with an SEO platform (such as Semrush or Ahrefs) and comfort using AI-visibility or citation tracking tools.
  • Working knowledge of CRO/testing tools and enough fluency in NetSuite to ensure Shopify changes reconcile correctly.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently across internal teams and outside agencies.
  • A curious, current mindset on how digital discovery is evolving, including AI-search and answer-engine optimization.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with structured data and schema markup tools.
  • Experience with platforms beyond Shopify, such as WooCommerce.
  • Basic HTML/CSS skills for making small on-page tweaks independently.

Benefits

  • Competitive USD salary.
  • 100% remote work.
  • 15 days of Paid Time Off + US Holidays.

Notes:

*You are applying to work with an international company. Make sure your CV is in English, otherwise your application can't be considered.
*We consider candidates from all around LATAM.
*If you don't have a formal portfolio, please share a Drive with various samples of your work.
*Please note this is a contractor position: As a contractor, you are responsible most of the time for managing your own contributions to social security, health insurance, and any applicable taxes or obligations in your country of residence. This can vary depending on the client. For contractor FAQs, please visit our website.
