About the Role:We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established travel agency in Los Angeles seeking an Assistant Manager to support their team. This role requires someone with strong general ledger (GL) knowledge, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to managing daily operations. While this position does not involve closing the month or handling financial statements, it is essential for the Assistant Manager to be curious, hardworking, patient, and an effective team player.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations with a focus on general ledger (GL) tasks.
Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth financial processes and operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and support the team in implementing best practices.
Assist in training and mentoring team members, encouraging professional growth.
Work on special projects as needed, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:Proficiency in General Ledger (GL) accounting is required.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal teams.
A curious mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and patient in managing tasks and supporting team members.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with at least three days per week in the office.
