Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | First Shift

Trak group is partnering with a manufacturing client seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Mechanic in Erlanger, Kentucky. This hands-on position is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant machinery and equipment to maximize reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe, efficient production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize production downtime.

  • Repair and replace mechanical components as needed.

  • Use diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment to identify and resolve equipment problems.

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.

  • Partner with the maintenance team to identify equipment improvements and reliability opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, repairs, and completed work.

  • Ensure machinery and equipment are operating safely and efficiently.

  • Follow established safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and company policies.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance team members to support overall plant operations.

Must-Haves

  • Previous mechanical maintenance experience, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical systems and production equipment.

  • Hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience.

  • Ability to diagnose mechanical equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.

  • Experience using diagnostic tools, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability.

  • Knowledge of industrial safety standards and procedures.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Technical certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical technology, or a related field.

  • Previous plant or manufacturing maintenance experience.

  • Preventive maintenance experience.

  • Experience identifying and implementing equipment reliability improvements.
