Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office | 12 hour nights - Wed-Friday (630p-730a) every other Saturday.

Join trak group in partnering with a Cincinnati-area manufacturing client seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. This hands-on role will focus on preventive maintenance and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and keep production running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.

  • Repair or replace defective machine components using appropriate hand and power tools.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and equipment documentation.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.

  • Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before failures occur.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair documentation, and equipment logs.

  • Partner with Production and Engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to equipment uptime and maintenance practices.

  • Follow established safety procedures and industrial safety standards.

  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Must-Haves

  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems and ability to read electrical schematics.

  • Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.

  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Understanding of industrial safety procedures and standards.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and with Production, Engineering, and Maintenance teams.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred

  • Technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, or a related field.

  • Manufacturing or production environment experience.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
