We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Director of IT Finance Systems for a customer of ours to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our financial systems, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance. This role requires a dynamic leader with deep technical expertise, business acumen, and proven experience managing cross-functional teams and complex enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop, execute, and maintain a long-term roadmap for finance systems aligned with business goals and transformation initiatives.Collaborate with Finance, IT, and executive leadership to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively.
Lead strategic planning for system upgrades, migrations, and integrations across platforms.Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, particularly within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Azure ecosystems, to drive innovation and efficiency.
Team Management:Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 15–20 IT professionals, including developers, analysts, and support staff.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Manage workload and project timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
Technical Expertise:
Oversee the implementation, customization, and maintenance of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance modules.
Ensure seamless integration between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems (e.g., Contract Management System, Claims, Cancellations, Data Warehouse).
Lead the design and development of solutions within the Dynamics 365 platform.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Provide continued support and guidance on legacy finance systems, Microsoft Great Plains (GP).
Ensure system industry standard compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, security, and audit requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary liaison between IT and Finance, ensuring alignment of technology solutions with business needs.
Facilitate regular communication with stakeholders to gather feedback, manage expectations, and report progress.
Lead cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive consensus and decision-making.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
