- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting operations functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
- Lead coordinate and oversee the preparation of the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting results, narratives, including preparation, review, and oversight of key deliverables.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations are followed.
- Ensure SOX controls and processes are strictly followed.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Work closely with SEC team providing supporting documents
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports to provide insights into business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide leadership to the accounting strategy, to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position
- Lead annual audit and liaison with external audit firm.
- Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure high-quality performance and engagement as this is a hands-on and strategic role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field from a top tiered school; active CPA is required
- 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role in a publicly traded company.
- Prior public accounting experience is required from a top firm, preferably big 4
- Prior experience within distribution, warehousing, or consumer-packaged goods industry is required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
This is an on-site role in Vernon, CA with travel to Phoenix, AZ 50% of the time (travel costs and lodging covered)
Compensation range $200,000- 250,000 + bonus + LTI!
