Job Description

One of the world’s most recognized publicly traded food brands is hiring an assistant controller for their leadership team. This role will be responsible for will be responsible for overseeing financial statements and assisting with strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounting and financial operations functions.
• Lead coordinate and oversee the preparation of the Monthly, Quarterly and Annual financial reporting results, narratives, including preparation, review, and oversight of key deliverables.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations are followed.
• Ensure SOX controls and processes are strictly followed.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with SEC team providing supporting documents
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports to provide insights into business performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership to the accounting strategy, to optimize the company’s financial performance and strategic position
• Lead annual audit and liaison with external audit firm.
• Lead and develop a team of accounting professionals to ensure high-quality performance and engagement as this is a hands-on and strategic role.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Prior public accounting experience is required from a top firm, preferably big 4
• CPA license highly desired
• Prior experience within consumer-packaged goods, manufacturing, or produce is required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Compensation range based on experience and location $225,000+ Bonus!
