As Senior Director of SEC Reporting, you’ll lead financial reporting, technical accounting, and stock administration with precision and impact. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of SEC forms including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and present comprehensive accounting research positions that support strategic business objectives while adhering to US GAAP guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze new accounting standards, providing strategic insights and preparing technical accounting memos as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership and department heads to streamline SEC reporting processes and ensure timely and accurate disclosures.
- Stay abreast of regulatory updates and interpretive accounting guidance, providing guidance on potential impacts to financial reporting.
- Build and review all ASC 842 disclosures and ASC 718 stock based compensation calculations.
- Assess the accounting implications of significant corporate events such as contracts, business developments, and equity offerings for SEC disclosures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and update corporate accounting policies as needed.
- Foster a culture of excellence and mentorship within the team, ensuring professional growth and development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with an active CPA license.
- 15+ years of progressive experience, including public accounting (Big 4 highly desired)
- Expertise in stock-based compensation is highly desirable.
- Prior experience leading teams is required.
- Candidates coming from large CPG, distribution, logistics, or warehousing industries will be considered first.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization.
- Successful preparation of form S-1 a big plus
- This role requires an individual with impeccable attention to detail, strong leadership acumen, and the ability to partner effectively across departments.
Location: Remote, candidates must live in the continental United States.
Compensation Range: $200,000 to $245,000 + bonus - exact pay determined based on experience, education, location and other role-specific criteria.
