Job Description
Client is a growing CRE and MF investor and operator. They are looking to add a senior leader to the Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will be an individual who can hit the ground running, being primarily responsible for raising Capital for multiple investment vehicles, focusing on Multifamily assets. This includes securing and structuring equity and debt financing for acquisitions and re-financings; establishing new and growing existing relationships with investors of all types for company sponsored funds, joint ventures, and all other capital initiatives
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Raise capital for the company through RIA’s, family office, institutional investors and other sources. Must have requisite experience and demonstrate track record of being able to raise and close capital independently.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with investors
- Support the company’s goals of growth and expansion by effectively representing the company to new investors and partners.
- Responsible for building a scalable CM investor raising platform, make it a functional funnel and be able to leverage the database for capital raising purposes.
- Be able to identify new and leverage existing knowledge of investment platforms and subscription databases.
- Prepare and execute marketing campaigns and keep up with a full calendar of appointments both in office and during travel to meet sales goals.
- Maintain proactive and on-going contact and touch-points with new and existing client base.
- Regularly update database of investors and provide timely updates to senior management.
- Proactively educate new and existing investors on different investment vehicles for maximum sales effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in capital raising for commercial real estate; 2+ years of relevant experience in capital raising for Opportunity Zone investments preferred
- Must have requisite experience and demonstrate track record of being able to raise and close capital independently.
- Have established and proven relationships with RIA’s, family office, institutional investors and other sources.
- Strong understanding of the financial benefits Opportunity Zone investments offer investors to maximize partnerships.
- Clear understanding of real estate underwriting and risk analysis and being able to effectively present to investors.
- Acumen and independent judgment to interact with high-net-worth clientele.
- Strong relationship-management ability, both internally and client-facing
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly with Excel and proficiency with presentation software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to expand and maintain long-term relationships with investors.
- Knowledge of capital market trends across US real estate.
- This demanding role may require long hours and extensive (25-50%) travel.
