BRAND-NEW OPPORTUNITY! We have been engaged by one of our mid-sized clients who is looking for an exceptional CFO to spearhead financial strategy and implement structure across the company. In this crucial role, you'll collaborate closely with the visionary CEO to establish robust KPIs, metrics, and goal-setting frameworks across all departments. The ideal CFO possesses a unique blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and change management expertise within the transportation, logistics, supply chain industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Provide leadership and oversight of all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with executive team to develop and execute strategic plans to support business growth and profitability.
- Create and present the annual budget for approval by the executive team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic guidance to optimize revenue and control costs.
- Manage relationships with banking institutions, investors, and financial partners.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures and systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Develop and refine financial and tax strategies to optimize financial performance and tax benefits.
- Support additional business initiatives and ventures as required, contributing to overall organizational growth.
- Direct the Finance and Accounting Department, ensuring efficient financial reporting and adherence to best practices.
- Enhance financial reporting systems, including evaluating and upgrading accounting software as needed.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive financial improvements and organizational performance.
- Manage cost control, produce cost estimates, and oversee the bidding process for contracts.
- Manage budget-setting processes across departments, compiling financial reports for stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
- Support ownership in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis.
- Oversee risk management strategies and ensure effective mitigation plans are in place.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field required. An MBA is preferred.
- Transportation, logistics, storage, warehousing industry experience is required.
- Expertise with NetSuite (ERP) system is essential.
- Experience with P&L management, cost control, and financial strategy development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
