Job Description

The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a consumer goods company to hire an experienced Plant Controller for their Salt Lake City facility.  The Plant Controller will manage financial controls, labor variance analysis, fixed assets, cycle counts, rolling forecast, and material loss. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain financial controls for the plant
• Analyze labor variance and provide recommendations for improvement
• Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate recording and tracking
• Conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts 
• Analyze material loss and provide recommendations for improvement
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
• Assist with budget preparation and analysis
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience as a plant controller or manager-level accounting role 
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of financial controls and accounting principles
• Experience with labor variance analysis and fixed assets
• Knowledge of cycle counts and inventory management
• Experience with rolling forecasts and material loss analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
