Job Description

The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a Consumer Goods/Food Manufacturing Company in the Denver, CO area to hire a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CFO to build out and lead the FP&A function and oversee the annual budgeting process, treasury, and accounting.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collaborating with auditors and developing KPIs to track performance. Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax compliance
  • Analyze financial statements and provide regular reporting to the executive team on financial performance, trends, and forecasts
  • Develop and maintain financial models and projections to support strategic planning
  • Oversee risk analysis and management, including insurance, legal, and regulatory compliance
  • Drive revenue growth initiatives by providing financial analysis and guidance on pricing, product development, and expansion opportunities
  • Manage M&A activities, including due diligence, deal negotiations, and post-merger integration
  • Lead the annual audit process and ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards
  • Provide financial leadership to the organization and ensure alignment of financial goals and strategies with the overall business objectives

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification preferred not required
  • 8+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role
  • 2+ years of audit experience
  • Exposure to consumer goods or food manufacturing
  • Proven track record of leading an 50M+ EBITDA business
  • Strong knowledge of EBITDA, M&A, risk analysis, revenue growth, deal negotiations, and audit
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage and develop a team of finance professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide financial insights to support business decisions
