Job Description

Client is a growing fintech focused on SMB Segment, redefining the boundaries of digital financial services and aim to stay one step ahead in the ever-evolving fintech landscape.
This role requires in office presence at least 4 days a week in Orange County. 

 

Client is looking for an experienced CFO to build the finance department into a strategic asset to support on-going growth initiatives.

We are looking for someone with a successful track record as trusted counsel to the CEO, executive leadership, management teams, and the Board on both financial and broad-based corporate strategy issues.

 

What You’ll Do

 

  • Develop annual financial budgets, performs tax filings, monitors legal issues, maintains appropriate insurance coverage, and maintains compliance with regulatory agencies and legal requirements.
  • Develop and monitor objectives, KPIs, and strategic planning for our lean finance department.
  • Use your depth of industry knowledge to be a strategic partner and advisor to the CEO on growth
  • Create policies that allow each department to work in the most organized way.
  • Formulate the company’s future growth plans and supporting tactical initiates for the short-term and long-term.
  • Monitors cash balances and supports capitalization efforts as needed, reconciliations, and assists the accounting/finance team with day-to-day responsibilities and functions.
  • Allocate company funds accordingly to ensure each department can function at an optimal pace.
  • Determine realistic goals and establish financial controls to maintain maximum productivity.
  • Manage and oversee all financial affairs for the organization,
  • Ensure compliance policies and procedures

 

What You’ll Need

 

  • BA Degree in accounting/finance related discipline
  • MBA strongly preferred from a top University
  • Early career in investment banking, private equity or venture capital
  • 10+ years’ experience in progressive finance leadership roles with 5+ years overseeing finance division
  • Minimum of 1 previous stint as a CFO
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a high growth start up in FinTech
  • Solid experience with capital raising, IPO, and M&A. (pre and post deal, including integration)
  • Exceptional ability to monitor, allocate, and control finances on a large scale
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills In-depth knowledge of finance, accounting, and numeracy
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to present financial analysis and projections to company stakeholders and potential investors
  • Excellent problem-solving attitude and abilities
