ColdFusion Developer

We are seeking a senior ColdFusion developer. This individual will be part of a small team of senior ColdFusion developers responsible for the continued support and development of an extensive, high performance ColdFusion and Java based commercial content management product. This is a long established email marketing and content management application geared to the CPA industry.  

Responsibilities:

This individual will be responsible for design and development of key product components using Cold Fusion, Java, JavaScript and HTML. The individual will split their time between ongoing support and source code development. The right candidate will be energetic, self-motivated and willing to work hard in a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Work with project managers to understand requirements and develop software solutions
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices for software development
• Provide tier-1 support to the services teams when required
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Troubleshoot and debug code as necessary to resolve issues
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Requirements:

• 7+ years industry experience developing web technologies/applications
• Minimum 4+ years strong ColdFusion development with 1+ years of hands-on development using Adobe ColdFusion 
• Minimum 4+ years DHTML/JavaScript/CSS development
• Minimum 3+ years Java and/or .Net development
• Version control using Git
• Strong experience with object oriented design/development.
• Strong experience with RDBMS systems
• Experienced in development under Windows and Linux environments 
• Excellent communication skills and general ability to communicate effectively with clients
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent college degree
• Able to take ownership of a project from start to finish
• Experience in releasing a commercial software products

Nice To Have:

• RESTful Webservice/API development
• Cloud-based deployment platforms - Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Microsoft Azure
• HTTP Web Servers – Apache, etc.
• Front-end Development – HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular
• C# / .NET
• Java development experience
