Job Description

TalentScout is looking for an experienced Exhibit Designer to join our Client's creative and skilled team working out of their Pittsburgh office serving a broad national and international client base.

Qualified Candidates will have the ability to create engaging and creative exhibit designs and possess solid knowledgeable of construction materials, technologies, techniques, and event production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  
  • Create inspirational, innovative, aesthetic, and engaging exhibit designs
  •  
  • Visualize and bring to life graphic elements in exhibit environments with interpretive displays through renderings and sketches
  •  
  • Understand clients’ goals, budget constraints and personal design preferences
  •  
  • Compile research, inspiration, and finished designs into a design document for presentation
  •  
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and clearly communicate creative ideas, concepts and collaborate with internal and external partners and stakeholders
  •  
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developing technology, attend trade shows, industry conventions/seminars and read/subscribe to design-related publications as necessary
  •  
  • Collaborates with construction and art department as needed for design support and ideas for the best possible solution to graphics related questions
  •  
  • Periodic travel to client’s facility, tradeshows, and industry events
  •  

SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

  •  
  • 4+ years professional experience in related field, or equivalent work experience
  •  
  • Must understand the implications of space planning as well as have the skill to visualize and communicate concepts verbally
  •  
  • Have a working knowledge of materials, technologies, construction techniques and event production
  •  
  • Ability to integrate audience engagement strategies into architectural design solutions
  •  
  • Produce design deliverables, including interpretive plans, schematic design plans, conceptual design documents and final design documents
  •  
  • Produce final renderings, material sample boards and presentation packages
  •  
  • Required abilities to include 3D and 2D drawings, traditional hand-sketching, collaborative brainstorming, computer modeling/rendering
  •  
  • Must have computer exposure with working knowledge of the following PC format programs, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, 3d Studio Max and Microsoft office
  •  

Preferred Education/Experience Required

  •  
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic art, exhibit design, industrial design, or equivalent work experience preferred
  •  
  • Minimum of four years professional level experience required
  •  
  • Design portfolio showcasing talent in custom exhibit design and graphic design required (Website portfolio or PDF under 10 MB)
