About the Role:

You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, you will diagnose issues, perform corrective actions, and support continuous improvement of equipment performance. Your work directly reduces downtime and supports consistent production output.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on production and facility equipment to identify root causes of failures and performance issues.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, valves, pumps, hoses, and actuators.
• Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments to disassemble, inspect, adjust, and reassemble mechanical components to specification.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
• Interpret basic mechanical drawings, diagrams, and equipment manuals to guide repair and maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance work performed, parts used, and equipment status in maintenance records or CMMS systems.
• Collaborate with operators and supervisors to schedule repairs, communicate equipment status, and support safe startup and shutdown procedures.
• Adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards while working on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Technician, Maintenance Technician, or similar hands-on mechanical role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability with demonstrated experience diagnosing equipment faults and implementing effective repairs.
• Practical experience servicing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems in a production or industrial setting.
• Proficient use of common hand tools and precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) for mechanical maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work 1st Shift, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm, with consistent attendance and reliability.
• Competence in following written procedures, work orders, and safety guidelines while working independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift components, and work in an industrial environment.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance setting.
• Familiarity with basic electrical or controls troubleshooting as it relates to mechanical equipment.
• Exposure to lean maintenance practices, root cause analysis, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for work orders and parts tracking.
• Ability to assist with equipment installations, modifications, or upgrades.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate, trade school training, or apprenticeship in mechanical, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Manufacturer or industry training in hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
• Relevant safety training (e.g., Lockout/Tagout, OSHA awareness) preferred.
