Join a technically driven organisation that values rigorous planning, disciplined execution, and clear cost control to deliver safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

About the Role:

This position is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined technical and safety standards. You will coordinate engineering, construction, and operations stakeholders, translating business needs into executable project plans. Your work will directly influence asset reliability, operational efficiency, and overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking progress and proactively addressing deviations from plan.
  • Prepare and manage project cost estimates and budgets, including forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting.
  • Coordinate construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Lead project meetings, communicate status updates, and align cross-functional teams on scope, priorities, and milestones.
  • Oversee procurement planning for materials and services, working with supply chain and vendors to meet schedule and budget targets.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to minimise impact on scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Ensure accurate project data entry and reporting in SAP, including purchase orders, cost tracking, and project closure documentation.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in an industrial, chemical, petrochemical, or related environment.
  • Strong background in construction management, including field coordination and contractor oversight.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial tracking for engineering/construction projects.
  • Hands-on experience developing and managing project schedules using recognised scheduling tools or methodologies.
  • Proficiency with SAP for project cost control, procurement, and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety, regulatory, and quality requirements in an industrial setting.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with DCS and PLC systems in process or industrial environments.
  • Background in process engineering or plant engineering within chemical or mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with stage-gate or similar project governance processes.
  • Experience with commissioning, start-up, and handover of industrial projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (required).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence or progress toward licensure (preferred).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
  • Relevant safety or construction management training/certifications (preferred).
