Overview:

Our client is seeking a PySpark expert to support the design and implementation of a major new feature for their flagship data platform. This is a great opportunity to join an industry leader on a 7+ month contract and work on a high-impact data initiative. 

Job Details:

• Design and develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark within AWS Glue
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and platform engineers to move and transform data from various sources into a centralized data warehouse
• Optimize Spark jobs for performance, cost, and reliability
• Build and maintain workflows for ingesting, cleansing, and organizing large datasets
• Work with AWS services 
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in data pipelines and recommend solutions for long-term stability
• Support data quality, validation, and monitoring processes

Requirements:

• Experience with PySpark, including hands-on experience writing and tuning Spark jobs
• Strong experience with AWS Glue or similar managed Spark environments
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and warehouse design
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery)
• Familiarity with AWS data tools (Athena, S3, Glue Catalog, Lambda, Step Functions)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

 
Location:

This position is fully remote, but qualified candidates must be comfortable working EST hours.
