Our fintech client in Cumming, GA has an immediate opening for a Java/Python engineer with 5-7+ years of professional experience in building scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud-native development, modern programming, and data systems, while leveraging generative AI tools to accelerate development, design, and troubleshooting. This role requires a balance of technical excellence, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, Glue, etc.).
• Build and maintain microservices and APIs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Oracle/DB2, MongoDB) to design efficient data storage and retrieval solutions.
• Apply Java and Python expertise to develop backend systems, integrations, and automation workflows.
• Utilize Generative AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q, ChatGPT, etc.) to enhance software development productivity, code quality, and innovation.
• Experiment with and implement AI agent-based solutions to optimize workflows and system interactions.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to improve AI-assisted software design, debugging, and development outcomes.
• Provide guidance to team members, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience with Java and/or Python with demonstrated success designing and building microservices and APIs.
• Proven knowledge and experience with Generative AI tools in development workflows. Strong grasp of prompt engineering for AI interaction in development contexts. Experience with agent mode AI systems.
• Proven expertise with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Oracle/DB2, MongoDB).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
