Job Description
Our direct client is seeking a SAP Financial Tech Lead. This is a right to hire role and fully remote.
In this role, you will manage a suite of SAP products, ensuring they align with business outcomes and are supported across various technologies. You'll provide technical guidance to SAP application support teams (including SAP ECC, Ariba, and Concur) and oversee operational support and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- SAP Management: Design, develop, and maintain SAP user management and architecture across multiple environments; provide solution recommendations.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure adherence to government and corporate security guidelines.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute maintenance programs, oversee problem management, perform root cause analysis, and manage vendor relationships and SLAs.
- Vendor Oversight: Select and onboard IT vendors for project execution, ensuring quality and adherence to methodologies.
- Subject Matter Expert: Serve as the go-to expert for the SAP suite of products, applying technical and functional skills to resolve client issues.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Manage upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery events; coordinate planned outages.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic planning, identifying new initiatives and budgeting for them, while assessing and benchmarking annual performance.
- Project Leadership: Lead project work and ensure availability for 24/7 callout as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting SAP Finance/Accounting applications, focusing on security monitoring.
- Demonstrated leadership skills through project management or work planning experiences.
- Strong understanding of IT project management methodologies and quality assurance processes.
- Extensive knowledge of finance and accounting functions and applications.
- Experience managing outsourced IT vendors.
- Expertise in the SAP Finance Products suite (ECC, CRM, BW, Ariba, PCM, GRC).
- Ability to understand process dependencies across business functions quickly.
- Proficiency in IT analysis methodologies.
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired:
- Technical certifications (e.g., AWS certification).
- Experience in programming or software development.
- Understanding of financial principles, including project budgeting and planning.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- SAP certification.
- Graduate degree or MBA.
- Experience with ITIL & CMMI.
Minimum Experience
- 6 years of relevant experience.
