Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic engineer to own the end-to-end implementation of Epicor Kinetic. This is a high-visibility, "player-coach" role where you will collaborate side-by-side with senior executives daily. You aren't just maintaining a system; you are architecting an agile, secure operational blueprint. You will take total ownership of security architecture, cross-functional modules, and advanced reporting infrastructure.
Because this is a pivotal infrastructure launch in a startup in growth mode, frequent onsite collaboration at our West Lafayette facility is required during the first year, stabilizing into a balanced 50/50 hybrid model as systems mature and move into multi-site operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation: Command the end-to-end scoping, data migration, configuration, and deployment of Epicor Kinetic from scratch.
- Executive Advisory: Partner daily with C-suite executives to translate aggressive business goals and modular scaling milestones into real-time ERP architecture.
- Advanced Compliance & Security Automation: Integrate and optimize our Cre8tive CCS (Cybersecurity Compliance Solution) extension to manage Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), First Article Inspection (FAI) tracking, and continuous audit readiness.
- Cross-Functional Blueprinting: Map and configure core modules spanning Operations (MRP, MES, Advanced Scheduling, Inventory) and Finance (General Ledger, AP/AR, Cost Accounting).
- BI & Data Visibility: Build mission-critical Business Activity Queries (BAQs), Business Process Managements (BPMs), custom dashboards, and SSRS reports to provide leadership with instant, data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
- Epicor Expertise: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with Epicor ERP, with recent deployment or heavy operational optimization using Epicor Kinetic.
- Startup-Mindset Technical Mastery: Proven track record of navigating resource-constrained startup environments. You must provide real-world examples of building robust BAQs, BPMs, and custom dashboards out of nothing, proving you can adapt system architecture on the fly to support rapid manufacturing scaling.
- Aerospace & Defense Compliance: Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and configuring ERP environments to strictly enforce ITAR, CMMC L2, AS9100D, and NADCAP standards.
- Continuous Audit Readiness: Experience configuring systems and maintaining data tracking to seamlessly pass regular, recurring Aerospace and Defense compliance audits, alongside strict DCAA and DCMA compliance requirements.
- Financial & Operational Fluency: Strong grasp of aerospace manufacturing finance (cost accounting, project billing) and shop floor operations.
- Location & Travel: Ability to work onsite in West Lafayette, IN frequently during Year 1 (up to 34 days a week during critical launch phases), stabilizing into a structured 50/50 hybrid schedule.
- Citizenship & Safety: Due to ITAR and defense contracting regulations, US Citizenship is strictly required.
- References: Professional references detailing past implementation success are required.
Preferred Experience
- Scalable Kinetic Experience: Prior experience leveraging Epicor Kinetic within the Aerospace & Defense sector through phases of highly modular growthspecifically scaling from early-stage startup up to multi-site operational scales.
- Cre8tive CCS Ecosystem: Direct experience utilizing or implementing the Cre8tive CCS compliance layer to automate defense-grade security, access controls, and FAI tracking.
What We Offer
- Exciting startup experience in A&D Manufacturing
- Highly competitive base salary.
- Direct, daily exposure to leadership with an explicit path toward a Manager/Director/VP role as we scale and succeed.
- Comprehensive health, vision, dental, and retirement benefits.
