Industrial Maintenance Technician

Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | Alternative Work Schedule
Compensation: Competitive pay ranging from entry-level rates up to $40+/hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and reliability of high-speed manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment installations on mechanical systems, processing equipment, packaging machinery, robotics, and automated production systems. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where minimizing downtime is critical.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair fillers, conveyors, packaging equipment, case erectors, pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment issues.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment including vibration analysis and laser alignment tools.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders using a CMMS system.
• Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Maintain compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all safety standards.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime and manufacturing efficiency.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman Card or 4+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience (military mechanical experience considered).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and industrial production equipment.
• Strong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, prints, and schematics.
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call support as needed.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
