About the Opportunity

Saige Partners is partnered with an industry-leading manufacturing organization seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Cost Accounting to join their team. This organization is known for its commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and high-quality product delivery.

This role plays a critical part in supporting financial visibility across multiple business units, partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, and Product Management. The ideal candidate brings strong cost accounting expertise within a complex manufacturing environment and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting.

Position Summary

The Sr. Financial Analyst will support monthly close activities, financial reporting, and in-depth cost analysis while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is instrumental in enhancing reporting accuracy, optimizing processes, and supporting scalable growth across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly cost reports, identifying key margin variances and trends
  • Perform detailed cost analysis to support new and existing product lines
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, and Engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Conduct variance analysis across product lifecycle stages and multiple manufacturing sites
  • Maintain and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for accuracy
  • Support labor and overhead rate development and monitor performance against budgets
  • Build and maintain cost accounting models for accurate product costing
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis
  • Support ERP system processes and provide expertise (Oracle or similar)
  • Prepare audit schedules and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
  • Mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 7+ years of finance/accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong plant/operational accounting experience in a multi-site organization
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and financial planning tools (Hyperion, OneStream, TM1, or similar)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • CPA or CMA certification
  • Experience in automotive, aerospace, or defense industries
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior analysts
