Director of Benefits
Job Description
Lead the design, implementation, administration, and communication of employee benefit programs
Oversee and manage external consultants, brokers, trustees, and service providers
Ensure all benefit programs comply with applicable regulations, including IRS and ERISA requirements
Develop and maintain competitive, cost-effective benefit programs to attract and retain talent
Partner with HR leadership to support and execute Total Rewards strategies aligned with business goals
Manage and develop a team of benefits professionals, providing leadership and performance oversight
Maintain and build relationships with external vendors, consultants, and actuaries
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, healthcare reform)
Evaluate, implement, and improve benefits processes for efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to enhance systems and automate benefits administration
Serve as an escalation point for complex benefits issues and process improvements
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required
