We are an equal opportunity employer seeking a global product leader to manage the control valve product portfolio from concept through obsolescence. This role is responsible for developing and executing product management and marketing strategies that drive sales growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
The Global Product Manager plays a critical role in expanding market share, entering new markets, and championing business opportunities across Business Units worldwide.
This is a Direct Hire role.
Own and manage the full product lifecycle for the control valve portfolio, from concept through end-of-life
Maintain deep understanding of how products are used in the market, including customer use cases and applications
Monitor and maintain a competitive intelligence knowledge base
Identify opportunities for product expansion, enhancements, or new market applications
Travel to customer sites for face-to-face engagement and voice-of-customer insights
Drive profitability improvement initiatives, including pricing, mix optimization, and supply chain resiliency
Manage and analyze portfolio financial performance, including gross profit, average unit price mix, pricing, and volume
Support lead time reduction and global reach initiatives
Lead product enhancements and reinvention efforts to extend product lifecycle
Analyze business trends such as bookings, run rates, market participation, and quote conversion rates, and recommend corrective actions
Partner with country sales organizations to develop and implement product tiering strategies to improve volume and margin performance
Serve as global product spokesperson and subject matter expert
Develop technical papers, present at trade shows, and share customer success stories
Partner with Marketing Communications (Marcom) to create sales collateral and product marketing materials
Develop user documentation and technical marketing content
Train Sales, Service, and Education Services teams on product features, applications, and market positioning
Support issue resolution by providing technical and product expertise
You have a proven track record of exceeding goals and driving results. You push yourself and others to succeed, value diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences. You are equally comfortable discussing engineering details and business strategy.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or marketing with 5+ years of industry experience OR MBA with a technical undergraduate degree and 2+ years of industry experience
Engineering background or equivalent experience supporting customer applications, competitive analysis, and product specification development
Experience in industrial B2B environments
Background in process engineering, sales, or marketing
Strong understanding of process control markets, customer applications, and competitive products
Solid knowledge of control valves, actuators, instrumentation, PLCs, or similar engineered products
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical experts and sales professionals
Proven ability to build and maintain strong global relationships
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
MBA
5+ years of relevant industry experience
Product management, product owner, or business-focused project management experience
Experience in pricing strategy and driving top- and bottom-line growth
Customer-facing experience
Marketing Communications (Marcom) background
