Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Type: Contract (Potential to Convert to Full-Time)
Start Date: ASAP
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
Seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience to support a highly automated warehouse and finished product packaging operation. This role is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing automated equipment to maximize uptime, efficiency, and reliability in product preparation and shipping processes.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with motors, drives, servo systems, sensors, and PLC-controlled equipment. Experience with Allen-Bradley platforms and PLC programming is highly desirable.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues on automated warehouse and packaging equipment
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on conveyors, sortation systems, packaging machinery, and robotic systems
Maintain and troubleshoot:
AC and DC motors
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor drives
Servo motors and servo drives
Industrial sensors (photoeyes, proximity switches, encoders, etc.)
Control panels and electrical circuits
Support troubleshooting and system diagnostics involving Allen-Bradley PLC systems
Modify or assist with PLC programming when required
Interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, and mechanical drawings
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime and increasing equipment reliability
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate equipment history records
Follow all safety policies, including proper lockout/tagout procedures
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification preferred
Minimum of three years of industrial maintenance experience in automated manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience working with:
Motors and gearboxes
Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
Servo systems
Industrial sensors and control devices
Automated conveyor systems
Working knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Proficiency using electrical meters and diagnostic tools
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Fast-paced, highly automated warehouse setting
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and energized electrical systems
Physical requirements may include standing, bending, lifting, and working at elevated heights
