Senior Duck Creek Policy Technical Lead

Saige Partners is partnering with an innovative organization seeking a highly skilled Senior Duck Creek Policy Developer to support enterprise-wide policy administration initiatives. This individual will play a critical role in designing, configuring, upgrading, and optimizing Duck Creek Policy solutions to support business growth and operational excellence.

Design, configure, and implement Duck Creek Policy technical solutions aligned with enterprise needs
Lead end-to-end technical delivery of implementations and upgrades, including planning, execution, and monitoring
Develop enhancements and system improvements prioritized by business and IT leadership
Actively reduce technical debt and promote scalable, maintainable architecture
Provide rotating on-call production support
Partner with architects and development teams to design loosely coupled, resilient integrations
Collaborate with vendors and system integration partners on co-development efforts
Ensure solutions align with microservices architecture best practices
Maintain documentation of application architecture, integrations, and system workflows
Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries within Duck Creek ODCH
Support defect resolution in partnership with QA teams
Ensure high standards for code quality, security, automation, and performance
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues independently and collaboratively
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration (technology-focused), or equivalent experience
Minimum five years of hands-on Duck Creek Policy configuration, upgrade, and support experience
Experience in insurance or financial services (commercial and personal lines; ISO and non-ISO templates)
Strong expertise in Duck Creek toolset including:
Express, Server, Author, Transact, Rating, Forms, User Admin
Manuscript data model and inheritance models
XSLT, XML, HTML5, SQL
ODCH data troubleshooting
Version 8.x and Active Delivery
Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and Git repository management
Experience with Duck Creek AMI, Anywhere API, Message Hub, and familiarity with Clarity
Strong understanding of SDLC, systems analysis, and microservices integration patterns
Proven ability to analyze complex issues, recommend solutions, and deliver production-grade implementations
Ability to prioritize workload, exercise independent judgment, and communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders
