Staff BI Analyst - PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Staff Business Intelligence Analyst focused on Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to support the Operational Reporting function within the Data & Analytics team. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain PLM operational and transactional reporting solutions that improve visibility, automation, and decision-making across the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in Oracle Cloud BI tools, deep understanding of PLM data structures and processes, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
This is a Direct Hire role.
Gather and translate business requirements into PLM dashboards and reports using Oracle Cloud BI tools, including OTBI, BI Publisher, and SQL
Design, develop, test, and deploy operational and transactional reporting solutions supporting product development, change management, and product data governance
Own PLM reporting initiatives, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance visibility, data quality, and reporting automation
Maintain and enhance existing PLM dashboards and reports based on evolving business needs
Partner with Oracle PLM functional team members to understand product lifecycle business processes
Engage stakeholders through iterative development cycles and review sessions to ensure solutions meet business requirements prior to production deployment
Coordinate issue resolution, testing, and production migration of reporting enhancements
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing PLM reports, ensuring timely and accurate fixes
Manage development work for offshore or contract resources, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards
Optimize reporting solutions for performance, scalability, and automated delivery
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that aggregate data into actionable insights
Leverage drill-through, ad-hoc reporting, prompts, and filters to support PLM decision-making
Understand product data structures and flows across Oracle Cloud PLM modules, including item master, bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and product attributes
Read, write, and analyze SQL queries across small- to medium-sized datasets
Demonstrate strong understanding of Oracle data models and core tables supporting PLM and ERP systems
Ensure acceptable performance of transactional, operational, and analytical reporting solutions
Implement automation strategies such as scheduled report delivery, agents, bursting, and process automation
Develop OTBI analyses and dashboards using PLM subject areas
Create user-friendly dashboard layouts, prompts, and filters
Configure agents for scheduled delivery of PLM analyses
Build and optimize BI Publisher data models using advanced SQL across Oracle PLM and ERP schemas
Develop, format, and schedule reports aligned with product data, change management, and development cycles
Configure bursting and automated delivery options
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field
4+ years of experience writing and analyzing SQL
4+ years of experience designing and developing reports using Oracle BI tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, OBIEE, OAS, or OAC
4+ years of experience supporting Product Lifecycle Management business processes
Proven ability to gather technical requirements and deliver end-to-end BI reporting solutions
Experience leading meetings, coordinating teams, or overseeing reporting initiatives
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship
Advanced Oracle SQL experience, including analytical functions
Prior experience with Oracle Cloud PLM modules (e.g., Product Development, Product Hub, Innovation Management)
Experience tuning SQL and optimizing reporting performance
