Key Responsibilities:

• System Design: Architect and optimize data components (e.g., historical databases, real-time ingestion) with kdb+ and Q.
• Data Processing: Build and maintain pipelines for processing large volumes of time-series and structured data.
• Performance Optimization: Tune, monitor, and plan capacity for kdb+ environments to ensure speed and reliability.
• Data Integration: Implement interfaces for kdb+ communication with other systems and apps.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve production issues, providing technical support for systems.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Q/kdb+ Expertise: Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and implementing complex kdb+ databases and Q applications.
• Data Modeling: Strong ability to design efficient columnar data structures for high-performance data storage.
• Programming: Proficiency in Python (basic); experience in additional languages is beneficial  (e.g., Java, C++) for tooling and integration.
• Architecture: Experience managing and maintaining distributed kdb+ environments.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.
