Job Description

Strategic Staffing Solutions International's client is one of the biggest data center companies in Poland, running colocation, cloud, server hosting, and IT services for hundreds of clients. For their team in Toruń is growing, they are now looking for a Systems Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of systems: checking emails, tickets, and scheduling weekly work.
• Deployment and maintenance of VMs, customer projects, SSL certificate renewals.
• Incident management – verifying, prioritizing, and resolving issues according to SLAs.
• Administration of web servers (Apache2, Nginx, LiteSpeed), firewalls, SSH, and storage solutions.
• Performing system upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting hardware (e.g., disk transfers).
• Ensuring compliance with internal standards and documenting all changes for knowledge sharing.
• Supporting both customer infrastructure and internal projects.
• Participating in on-call duties (shared rotation within the team).

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–4+ years of experience in system administration (Linux: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux).
• Strong knowledge of storage solutions (Ceph, ZFS).
• Good knowledge of Zabbix monitoring.
• Solid experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) – ability to analyze queries, indexing, and reduce system load.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm).
• Strong knowledge of web servers (Apache2, Nginx, LiteSpeed).
• General server knowledge: building, configuring, and maintaining servers.
